My desire to photograph our kids in the pool has been chronicled.

So I took a few thousand dollars worth of equipment into the pool.

All our children have started going off the diving board this summer and I’ve been nearby to help in case one of the less skilled swimmers has an accident.  One benefit is being able to watch them from underwater as they make splashdown.  I’ve wanted to try capturing some of those looks of their faces all screwed up with courage and breath-holding as the air and water mix around them in the turbulence of their entries.

Welcome to Update: Part 1

I’m in the process of expanding my reach and you’re viewing the first step.  I’ve converted my primary site from a presence for my photography business to a blog-centric portal.

There are a couple more steps; a more customized look to enhance this portion of my digital personna, a much broader and deeper interface to my financial presence and little enhancements throughout.  I expect this process to continue over the next few weeks but in the end you should enjoy a streamlined opportunity to engage this content more efficiently and enjoyably.

1Ds photoshoot

Just finished my first studio photoshoot with the Canon EOS 1Ds. Wow was it fun. I’ve printed an 8×10 and it looks outstanding. I’m ordering a print in 20×30 to see how it holds up. I can’t believe how awesome this piece of equipment is.
